چکیده

Abstract Background Benign breast tumors although classified as benign lesions but excising them remain a troublesome problem. Surgical excision for frightens most of female population suffering from such problem, which created an urgency to search safe and effective alternative. My aim was assess the efficacy vacuum-assisted biopsy (VAB) system removal in terms complete rate incidence complications. Results Twenty-three patients with 29 twenty-nine were included our study. Mean age 33 years (19–52 years). The 100% follow-up 3 drop outs. largest diameter ranged 1.2 3.3 cm. Rate occurrence complications form intra-procedural pain, 69% experienced mild pain visual analog scale (VAS) score (1–3).21% moderate VAS (4–6).8% no pain. Patients who developed post procedural ecchymosis 17% while hematoma group 10% total number patients. Conclusions study showed that use could provide method fibroadenomas, low incomplete excision, formation.

Diagnosis and treatment of breast fibroadenomas by ultrasound-guided vacuum-assisted biopsy.

HYPOTHESIS Ultrasound-guided vacuum-assisted biopsy (UGVAB) can serve as an efficient tool for the diagnosis and excision of breast fibroadenomas. DESIGN Patients with a clinically and radiographically suspected breast fibroadenoma were prospectively referred for UGVAB to confirm the diagnosis and to attempt to excise the lesion. PATIENTS Fifty-two female patients, aged 19 to 68 years, were...

Minimally Invasive Breast Fibroadenoma Excision Using an Ultrasound-Guided Vacuum-Assisted Biopsy Device.

Introduction We studied the extent to which an ultrasound-guided vacuum-assisted biopsy device ("hand-held Mammotome") could be used not only as a valuable tool for investigation of suspicious breast lesions, but also therapeutically for the complete removal of breast fibroadenomas. Materials and Methods 132 aspiration biopsies showing fibroadenoma on histology were collected retrospectively. W...

Initial Experience with a Wireless Ultrasound-Guided Vacuum-Assisted Breast Biopsy Device.

OBJECTIVE To determine the imaging characteristic of frequent target lesions of wireless ultrasound (US)-guided, vacuum-assisted breast biopsy (Wi-UVAB) and to evaluate diagnostic yield, accuracy and complication of the device in indeterminate breast lesions. MATERIALS AND METHODS From March 2013 to October 2014, 114 women (age range, 29-76 years; mean age, 50.0 years) underwent Wi-UVAB using...

The utilization of an ultrasound-guided 8-gauge vacuum-assisted breast biopsy system as an innovative approach to accomplishing complete eradication of multiple bilateral breast fibroadenomas

BACKGROUND Ultrasound-guided vacuum-assisted breast biopsy technology is extremely useful for diagnostic biopsy of suspicious breast lesions and for attempted complete excision of appropriately selected presumed benign breast lesions. CASE PRESENTATION A female patient presented with 16 breast lesions (eight within each breast), documented on ultrasound and all presumed to be fibroadenomas. O...
